Interpretation of the latest export policies

27 Mar.,2025

On August 15th, the Ministry of Commerce and the General Administration of Customs issued a notice to implement export controls on antimony and superhard materials, which will be officially implemented from September 15th.

Antimony is an important non renewable metal with a wide range of industrial applications, including the manufacture of flame retardants, batteries, glass ceramics, chemicals, catalysts, and in military fields.

Antimony is also commonly used as an additive in industrial manufacturing, hence it is called "industrial MSG". Antimony compounds, especially antimony trioxide (Sb2O3), are widely used in the plastic, rubber, textile, coating, chemical, and electronic industries due to their excellent flame retardant properties.

In addition, indium antimonide is an important semiconductor material with extremely narrow bandgap and high electron mobility, which has great development prospects in the fields of infrared detectors and lasers. Antimony is also used in lead-acid batteries, mainly as a hardener for grid alloys.

Although antimony is widely used in flame retardants, we have developed a new formula for flame retardants that does not require the addition of antimony oxide. For more details, please consult us and we will be happy to serve you.
